He howls. He's mad. He plays unplugged videos. He's a mental aerobics master, flicking through his characters faster than a thief through a bankroll. He's even got a silly smirk - he tried a serious one once, but it just didn't hang right. But fly? He could land a Jumbo Jet upside down with a roller skate on his head. And if for a moment anyone thought he was the slightest bit sane, he'd be back in Fort Bragg faster than a fly under a swatter. Murdock's crazy o.k. - like a fox.

The following extract on H.M. Murdock was taken from TVLand's website:

Capt. H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock
A seasoned pilot, Captain Murdock flew for the A-Team in Vietnam. During his final tour of duty, the pressures of war left Murdock, well, howling mad, as his nickname implies. Though he is institutionalised at the Veteran's Hospital, the Team breaks him out frequently for special covert assignments (much to the consternation of B.A., who finds Murdock's zany antics intolerable). Although Murdock hears imaginary voices and has delusional visions, he is an excellent pilot and a valued member of the A-Team.

The following biography on Dwight Schultz was taken from TVLand's website:

Dwight Schultz:
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Dwight Schultz went on to earn a BA in Theater Arts from Baltimore's Townson State University. His early work was primarily on stage, and won the "Drama-Logue" award for his role in "The Crucifix of Blood" (starring Charlton Heston.) Dwight also worked odd jobs in New York while honing his craft. He has moonlighted as everything from waiter and door-to-door salesman to officer of the New York Bureau of Pest Control. Roles on TV shows like "Chips" and "Hill Street Blues" helped heat up Dwight's day job, and a co-starring role with Kate Jackson in the TV Movie "Thin Ice" led to his audition for "The A-Team." Though "Howling Mad" Murdock is Dwight Schult's best known role he has gone on to parts in "Lois & Clark," "Star Trek: Voyager" and the new "Fantasy Island." Currently, Schultz can be heard as the voice of Stan on "The Chimp Channel"
